New UKRI-funded Plant Phenomics Network

PhenomUK is a UKRI-funded Technology Touching Life network lead by Profs Tony Pridmore (Nottingham) and Malcolm Hawkesford (Rothamsted Research) and promoting an integrated, holistic view of the plant phenotyping process across the UK.

PhenomUk’s goal is to promote greater involvement in the development of plant phenotyping technology by the UK’s engineering and physical science base and increased and closer collaboration between plant, crop and agricultural scientists and those working in the engineering and computational sciences.

We believe that the most effective way to create sustainable cross-disciplinary collaborations is through active engagement on a shared project. In addition to operating an Annual UK Phenomics Conference, workshops and networking visits, PhenomUK will therefore use a large proportion of its £500K UKRI funding to support phenomics projects within the UK community.
